Pain of odontogenic origin has plagued mankind since the dawn of civilization. The primary goal of this department involves prevention, diagnosis and treatment of sequelae of dental caries and it includes techniques and procedures to restore the teeth to full function and appearance in an esthetically pleasing manner with minimum loss of healthy tooth structure. This branch of dentistry is broadly classified into two categories- Conservative dentistry and Endodontics.
